Prohibited Place for Drones

Before we get started there are some things you need to know about when and where drones are prohibited and the safety of flying a drone in certain conditions.

Above is a map of places that shows where drones are prohibited to fly. As you can see from the areas in blue, those are flight paths for airplanes. Drones are prohibited from flying within those flight paths and the areas circled around this is considered a restricted zone. It is important that we follow these regulations to insure the safety of others, aircraft in the sky, and the drone itself.

Weather Conditions

Drones need to fly in good weather conditions and with optimal wind speeds no more than 10mph. The last thing anyone wants is to have the wind carry the drone away rendering the drone inoperable or losing good quality footage.

Rain: The drone is an electronic device and can not be flown in the rain or snow.

Nighttime: In most cases, it is best not to fly a drone at night, but depending on the setting and conditions flying at approximately dusk will give the drone’s camera its best optional light with being able to capture a nighttime view of city or event lighting.

Refund Policy Due to Weather:

If your event or shoot date gets canceled due to weather-related conditions we will give you a refund if it is something we cannot reschedule at a more optimal time.

How Much Does it Cost?

To simply hire us to shoot footage for you that you will purpose yourself, it’s $100 for one hour up to a two hour event. Please note though that the maximum flight time for drone video/photography is 1 hour in the air. So it will be important to know at what times you would like the drone to take flight and record video. This is due to the drone’s max flying time on 1 battery being 23 minutes, changing out batteries 3 times and how much we can store on SD cards depending on shooting in 4K or 1080p.

*Note: If we are shooting drone footage as a part of a packaged video deal for you this will be included in the price we offer to shoot and edit your video.

Before we begin, since flight conditions can be risky, send us an email about your event so we can make sure fight is optimal and permitted in that location.
