What’s in a QR Code?

So lately I’ve been designing business cards for clients and in every business card I’ve designed I’ve made sure to put a QR code in the business card’s design. I was designing a card for one of my clients when she asked a question that I just assumed everyone knew about. She goes, “What is this funky box here?” I said, well that’s the QR code to your website.” She was silent for a minute and said, “I have no idea what that is and why I need it?”

If you are someone that also doesn’t know what this funky little box is, let me explain this to you. If you have a smartphone as most people do in this day and age, you can grab your phone, open up your phone’s camera, point it at the QR code and it will pull up a webpage. Adding QR codes to flyers or business cards is a great way for people to easily pull up your mobile site. Anything that makes it easier for your customers or clients to access your information or site is a good thing!
